Chanel Mademoiselle Privé exhibition

PMQ is home to an abundance of creative enterprises and local designers, but for several weeks it will also be home to the Mademoiselle Privé exhibition, where the inspiration behind Chanel Founder Gabrielle Chanel and Artistic Director Karl Lagerfeld’s most iconic designs are revealed. Capturing the charismatic personality and spirit of the brand, visitors will explore Lagerfeld’s reinvention of haute couture, the creative process behind the classic Chanel N°5 fragrance, as well as the re-edition of the “Bijoux de Diamants” fine jewellery collection designed by Chanel in 1932.

A tale of madness

The Woman in the Window is the debut novel of author A.J. Finn, and has been labeled by reviewers as this year’s Gone Girl. The thriller features Anna Fox, a traumatized woman who has avoided leaving her New York home for nearly a year. She spends her days spying on her neighbours and the outside world through a window, until she witnesses something that no one was meant to see.

Nordic cuisine with a twist

From the minds’ of two-Michelin-starred chef Björn Frantzén and Executive Chef Jim Löfdahl, comes Frantzén’s Kitchen – a modern dining experience that combines Nordic dishes with Asian influences in a casual and relaxed setting. Diners have the option of sitting at the kitchen counter for an unobstructed view of the chefs working. Dishes include the “French Toast” with aged cheese, balsamic vinegar and a truffle infusion, “The Cod” with butter sauce, juniper berries and pears infused in orange vinegar, and the chocolate “Smoked Ice Cream 2.0” with hickory pecan nuts, bitter cacao nibs, tar syrup and salted fudge with cloves.

Musical

Evita hits Hong Kong stage

Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s musical, Evita, will be making its first appearance in Hong Kong. Set in Buenos Aires between 1934 and 1952, the show brings to life the story of how Eva Perón rose from rags-to-riches as the wife of the former Argentine dictator Juan Perón – and to ultimately becoming the “spiritual leader of the nation.”

The musical has received two Olivier Awards, seven Tony Awards and six Drama Desk Awards since its debut in 1978.
